Obituary: Peggy A. Regis

Peggy A. Regis, 84, of Rhinelander, died peacefully on Sept. 11, 2012. She was born on Feb. 3, 1928, in Marenisco, Mich., to Theodore and Myrtle (Reace) Russell.

Peggy attended schools in Michigan. She married William Regis on Feb. 2, 1946, in Ironwood, Mich. They moved to Rhinelander in the 50’s. Peggy had a lifelong career in nursing, in which she enjoyed. She loved doing art and photography, even teaching classes at times. Peggy especially loved painting, nature, going to the casino and playing bingo.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lori (Mel) Oelrich; two grandchildren, Sara (Neal) Zastrow and Bill (Cathy) Oelrich; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Alexis Zastrow, all of Rhinelander; and her sisters, Wyllis Grasso of Wakefield, Mich. and Gerry (Les) Weisinger of West Bend. She was proceed by her husband, William; her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Anthony) Shefka; and brother-in-law, John Grasso.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, Sept. 14, at noon, at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Weddle officiating. Burial will follow at Northland Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in Peggy’s name and may be directed to the family.
