Heating help offered for Oneida County veterans

For the third year in a row, Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula Lennox dealers, their employees and Lennox International are teaming up again this fall to “Heat U.P. Wisconsin!”

Last year, 76 high-efficiency, Energy Star rated Lennox gas furnaces were installed by Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula dealers, which were donated by Lennox Heating & Cooling to deserving families and homeowners in Wisconsin and the U.P. who had fallen on tough times and needed some help. The campaign achieved tremendous success and in response to that success, Lennox and the Wisconsin and U.P. dealers have committed to providing 100 furnaces for the 2012 “Heat U.P. Wisconsin” campaign.

These campaigns not only have helped many families in need but they also helped raise awareness of the Lennox brand while they showcased the unmatched commitment of the independent Lennox dealers in Wisconsin and the U.P. Submission entries can be found at heatupwisconsin.com, and the deadline for applying is Sept.15. Selections will then be made between Sept. 16 and Sept. 30. Those selected will be contacted, and the installations will occur Oct. 6, just in time before the cold sets in.

The Oneida County Veterans Service Office would like to help any Oneida County veteran who is interested in this program apply for it. You must provide proof of military service (active, guard or reserve) and residency if we don’t already have it on file for you.

For more information, call (715) 369-6127.
