University Transfer open house Aug. 13
Do you see a bachelor’s degree in your future? See how you can turn that dream into a reality at the University Transfer Liberal Arts Open House from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, in Northwoods Center 209 on the Nicolet Campus.
“This will be the perfect opportunity for people to learn more about the Transfer program,” said Rose Prunty, dean of Nicolet University Transfer Liberal Arts program. “Those attending will be able to meet instructors and advisors, learn about the many four-year campuses that accept Nicolet credits, and also learn about Nicolet’s admissions process.”
Fall Semester classes start Sept. 4. Prunty noted there is still time for students to enroll but anyone thinking about doing so will need to act promptly.
Nicolet offers three different two-year transfer associate degrees; an Associate of Arts, an Associate of Science, and an Associate of Science with a Natural Resources emphasis.
Over the years thousands of students have started their bachelor’s degrees at Nicolet, attracted to the program by the high quality of instruction, small class sizes, and the cost savings that comes with starting at Nicolet, Prunty explained.
“Tuition at Nicolet is roughly half of what students pay at a four-year college or university,” she said. “This means students who complete their first two years at Nicolet save thousands of dollars when compared to the cost of starting a bachelor’s degree at a four-year campus.”
She noted that many Nicolet Transfer students also live at home, resulting in even greater savings since they don’t incur the cost of room and board.
Information about online classes, financial aid, and scholarships will also be available at the open house.
