Manitowish Waters Chamber names new executive director
The Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of their new Executive Director, Mary Beth Leopold.
Mary Beth has been a business owner and non-profit volunteer for the majority of her career. Her background in hospitality, retail and tourism makes her an excellent candidate to help lead the Chamber to the “next level of excellence!” Most recently she co-owned and managed the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel at the airport in Green Bay and Red & White Wine Bar and Retail Store in Appleton.
Mary Beth sits on many non-profit boards and spends the majority of her free time helping raise funds for these organizations. She is one of the co-founders of Women for H.E.A.L.T.H, a non-profit organization established to financially help women in need. She is the past president of the Heritage Hill Foundation, Greater Green Bay Lodging Association and Travel Related Industry Professionals. She also has chaired numerous committees for the Sexual Assault Crisis Center, American Heart Association, Children’s Hospital, the Marti Spitell Ziegelbauer Cervical Cancer Foundation and the Boland Family Breast Cancer Foundation.
She and her husband, Tim, love to travel and golf and spend time on the water. Mary Beth said she is very excited to work with the chamber in Manitowish Waters to help grow and expand the tourism base as well as help stimulate economic development. She is looking forward to living in the Manitowish Waters area and soaking up all the “local flavor” and getting involved in the local community.
