Local educator attends national conference
Gail Strid of Rhinelander, a para-educator at Rhinelander High School, was one of nearly 8,000 educators from across the country attending the National Education Association’s (NEA) Representative Assembly from June 27 through July 5 in Washington, DC. The annual meeting is the largest democratic decision-making body in the world. Each year, members are elected from their local unions to represent the issues and needs of their fellow educators. Ms. Strid was one of 242 delegates representing Wisconsin.
