Children’s museum finalist in ‘Community For A Cause’ contest
A video produced by the Northwoods Children’s Museum is one of six finalists in River Valley Bank’s Community for a Cause contest and could win the grand prize of $5,000.
River Valley Bank is giving away a total of $7,000 in their Community for a Cause Facebook contest. Entrants were instructed to submit a 3-minute video explaining why an individual, family or organization deserves to win one of the monetary prizes. A selection committee then chose 6 finalists based on the greatest need as well as the creativity of the video.
“We were so excited to find out that we are one of the finalists!” said Rouleen Gartner, Executive Director. “The Northwoods Children’s Museum has experienced significant decreases in contributions and income and winning $5,000 would be a huge boost for the museum.”
Beginning July 10 and running through July 27, the public is encouraged to go to the River Valley Bank Facebook page and vote for their favorite video. The video with the most votes wins the grand prize. Two runner ups will win $1,000 each.
“We’re doing all we can to get the word out to the community to encourage everyone to vote for the NCM video,” stated Gartner. “People can vote once every twenty-four hours.”
