The local country band HorsePlay will perform at Concerts on the Riverwalk on Wednesday, July 18, at 7 p.m., at the bandshell near Trig’s in downtown Rhinelander.

A staple of the area country music scene in decades past, the group is making a comeback.

“We took the past two years off for a much-needed break,” said band leader Bill Groskopf. “We’re looking forward to playing down at the band shell.”

Band members include Groskopf on lead guitar and vocals, Chuck Devereaux on bass guitar and vocals, Carey Beth Heikkinen on keyboards and vocals and Jeff Kropidlowski on drums.

As always, Concerts on the Riverwalk are free, and goodwill donations will be collected. In case of bad weather, the performance will be held at Nativity of Our Lord (St. Mary’s) on King Street just behind McDonald’s.
