The Rhinelander Area Community Band will again take the stage at Concerts on the Riverwalk Thursday evening, July 11, at 7 p.m. , at the bandshell near Trig’s in downtown Rhinelander.

Audience members will each receive a gift as a token of appreciation from the band for the many years of loyalty to the volunteer organization.

“We feel that Concerts on the Riverwalk are such a great thing for the community, and hope our audiences continue to grow,” said organizer Jan Leschke. “It’s so wonderful to see our neighbors, young and old, enjoying the music.”

Fresh from July 4th parade performances in Rhinelander and in Three Lakes, the band will continue the summer theme, “Dance the Night Away”, with Rumba Nina, Slavonic Dances and a medley of lively Beach Boys tunes. Marches and concert pieces, including the popular Just a Closer Walk with Thee will round out the program.

As always, Concerts on the Riverwalk are free, and goodwill donations will be collected. In case of bad weather, the performance will be held at Nativity of Our Lord (St. Mary’s) on King Street just behind McDonald’s.

For more information, call Leschke at (715) 362-7157.
