Dave Havel named Business Manager at Dave Marston Motors

A very familiar name in the Northwoods now has a new gig. Dave Havel of Rhinelander, a well-known pillar of the Rhinelander business and volunteer community, was recently named the new Business manager at Dave Marston Motors in Minocqua. Havel, who had been working as a credit processor before being hired by Marston, said he was looking for a change, and the dealership presented a terrific opportunity.

“I really missed having people around and working in an office setting,” said Havel. “I originally went to talk with Scott Marston about a job in sales, and he said I’d be perfect for the Business manager job he had available. It’s been a lot of learning, but a lot of fun so far.”

Havel, whose background consists of financial sales in predominantly the mortgage, insurance and banking industries, assists Marston’s patrons with getting financing for new and used vehicles purchases, and also helps them chose the best service and maintenance plans for them.

“I’m working with people and helping them, which is what I really love to do,” said Havel. “The great thing about Dave Marston’s is that it’s a second generation family-owned dealership that really supports their employees.

Havel said that, despite recently stepping down from the Board of Directors of the YMCA of the Northwoods, he plans to maintain his involvement and volunteer work in Rhinelander as much as possible.

“It’s sometimes tough to make meetings, but I’m definitely still going to be around,” said Havel. I’m always open for a visit from Rhinelander friends up in Minocqua, too.”
