Last Saturday, June 30, the YMCA of the Northwoods had more than 440 runners come out for the annual Hodag Run For Your Life. This was an increase from 304 last year, by far the best year of the run.

In addition, between 150 and 200 kids took part in the Chase the Hodag Children’s Run. Proceeds raised from the Hodag Run For Your Life benefit the Y’s Strong Kids Scholarship Campaign, which ensures that no one is turned away from the Y due to lack of ability to pay.

The annual Moonshine Run is scheduled for Saturday evening, July 7, at midnight (registration is at 11 p.m.) in Eagle River.
