About 12,000 customers remain without power this morning after storms rolled through northern Wisconsin.

A large stretch of thunderstorms, some severe, rolled through the Northwoods beginning at about midnight. The storms brought damaging winds and heavy rain, with many in the Rhinelander area reporting between 2 and 3 inches total. Rhinelander was spared from the damaging winds, but areas west of the city, notably Argonne, Crandon, Laona and Wabeno, reported storm damage, including fallen trees and down power lines.

Here are major power outages as of 8:14 a.m., according to Wisconsin Public Service Corp.’s website.

• Rhinelander: 2,263
• Crandon: 1,082
• Three Lakes: 1,062
• Wabeno/Laona: 4,363
• Eagle River: 3,161
• Minocqua: 1,250

Updated outage information can be found at wisconsinpublicservice.com/outagesummary/view/outagegrid.aspx.
