Three trustees appointed to Nicolet Board
One incumbent and two new members were recently appointed to fill three-year terms on the Nicolet College Board of Trustees.
Marcie Metropulos, Lake Tomahawk, was reappointed and Robert Egan, Eagle River, and Kimberly Odekirk, Cavour, were chosen as new members to the nine-member board.
All three will be sworn in and begin serving their new terms at the July board meeting.
Metropulos has served on the board since 2006. She is the deputy finance director for the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council, Inc., and previously worked as an accountant for a sport mapping company and an accounting firm. Metropulos is also a member of the Rhinelander District Library Board of Trustees.
Egan owns Eagle River Tire, Inc. He has served on the Vilas County Board of Supervisors, the Vilas County Economic Development Corp., the North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, the Vilas County Law Enforcement Committee, and the Grow North Regional Economic Development Corporation. He’s also active in several other community groups in the area. Prior to moving to Eagle River, he worked as a police officer in Chicago.
Odekirk is the District Administrator for the Wabeno Area School District. She was previously employed as principal, school counselor and teacher for the Wabeno Area School District. She is a member of the Nicolet Distance Education Network, the Northern Lakes Conference Administrators, the Community Coalition of Forest County, the American Association of School Administrators, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
Appointments to the Nicolet College Board of Trustees are made by the chairs of the county boards from Nicolet district counties, which include all of Oneida, Vilas and Forest counties and portions of Lincoln, Langlade and Iron counties.
