Mrs Schmit and a group of 5th grade students collected jewelry for re-sale to benefit NATH and Frederick Place. The students collected, sorted and sold the jewelry at different events and the teacher’s lounges at Tomahawk School District. They collected over $1,600, and have donated over $500 worth of items to Frederick Place.

They got to tour Frederick Place and see where their donations were going. The rest of the money will be donated to NATH to purchase the paint needed to paint Frederick Place. This group of hard working and dedicated kids is an inspiration to others.

All money collected will benefit NATH and Frederick Place. Frederick Place is a 16-bed temporary, emergency shelter for families and single men women who are experiencing homelessness. Frederick Place has provided more than 5,000 nights of shelter since opening on Jan. 31, 2011.

For further information about NATH and Frederick Place, call Tammy Modic, Executive Director, at (715) 369-9777.
