Minocqua Center awards scholarships to Lakeland Union High School students
The Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center has awarded scholarships to two Lakeland Union High School graduates who have chosen to pursue college degrees in health-care related fields.
David Donovan and Stephanie Kellner received the scholarships, which the clinic’s Minocqua Center awards each year. The scholarships, totaling $2,000 each, are given to recipients chosen by the Lakeland High School Scholarship Committee.
Donovan plans to study biomedical engineering at the University of Iowa, beginning in the 2012-13 school year. Kellner, who plans to attend The College of St. Scholastica, will pursue a nursing degree.
“We feel that it is vitally important to support our local students who are interested in pursuing careers in health care,” said Rick Clark, administrator of Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center. “These talented students represent the future of health care for our community, and we are honored to help them achieve their goals.”
Past recipients of this scholarship include Alan Chen, Abby Lee, Doug Kozeluh, Jon Goessl, Amber Schmitz, Alex Mersch, Shelby Wallace and Michelle Warbalow.
