Business Close-Up: Trig’s Ace Hardware place for hardware help
When a home project is in the works, Trig’s Ace Hardware in Rhinelander can supply all the materials to get it done right. Not only that, the staff is friendly and helpful, and every customer is greeted with a smile the minute they step in.
“Our goal is to help all our customers with their projects,” said Dale Micke, assistant manager. “This is the type of store where we are more than happy to answer questions or make suggestions on all kinds of home repair or improvement.”
While making customers happy is a top priority here, products and specialized services are also available. Some of those services include customized key cutting, battery testing, screen repair for windows and doors and Trig’s Ace Hardware is also a drop off location for water samples that are picked up by Advanced Water for testing. Customers can also get chain, tubing, fence, pipes and rope by the foot and hardware such as nuts, bolts and screws can be purchased individually. Paint matching is also available along with a large selection of paints from such top names as Benjamin Moore, and Clark and Kensington.
In addition, tools are available for rent such as rototillers, edgers, lawn aerators, power lawn rakes, trench diggers, power washers, and many more.
“These come in handy for those wishing to complete a project without having to purchase a piece of machinery they will only use a few times,” said Dale. Another popular rental item is the Rug Doctor, which can make carpets look new again.
Of course, no hardware store would be complete without a selection of tools, and there are plenty to choose from at Trig’s Ace Hardware. Many brand names are sold here, including Craftsman, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Stihl and Black and Decker. There is also a great selection of hand tools to choose from, including hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters and much more.
With summer here, outdoor projects take the stage, and Ace can help with those too. Customized grass seed mixtures are available, along with fertilizers, wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels and many other garden tools. Ace also carries garden soil, lime and wood chips.
Bird watchers will really enjoy the large selection of feeders for all species on display, including hummingbirds. Bird feed is also featured including large bags of sunflower seeds, corn and special mixtures made specifically for hummingbirds.
For those who require tough apparel with long term wearability, Trig’s Ace Hardware has the largest assortment of Carhartt brand clothing available in the Northwoods, including coats, pants, T-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts and bib overalls, both for men and women. In addition, there are several brands of sturdy boots offered, including Georgia and Rocky.
The friendly staff at Ace is also willing to special order items and customers can order on-line and pick up their merchandise at this store.
“We love that this is a neighborhood store, and we want to get to know our customers and their needs,” said Dale. “We’re always willing to help, no matter what the project.”
