Oneida County Lakes & Rivers Association to hold annual meeting
The Oneida County Lakes & Rivers Association annual meeting will be held on Friday, June 15, at 11 a.m., at Nicolet College.
Regular agenda items will cover topics such as an overview of OCLRA for 2011-12, reports from the President, Treasurer and Nomination Committee as well as elections for the Board of Directors.
The OCLRA Annual Meeting will follow the North Central County Lakes Association Workshop sponsored by Wisconsin Lakes, an organization which represents the 15,000 lakes statewide. This workshop is specifically designed for individuals and lakes associations from the north central counties of Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Oneida, Price, Taylor and Vilas. Keynote speaker, Dr. Ben Beardmore, will discuss the “Impacts of Lake Protection Efforts on Property Values” as well as how to establish, train and implement aquatic invasive species early detection and monitoring teams for lakes. Local lake leaders will share how this augments their Clean Boats, Clean Waters watercraft inspection efforts.
