New radiologist to practice at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital
Ministry Medical Group recently welcomed Dr. Jonathan Currie to the Radiology department at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital located at 2251 North Shore Dr. in Rhinelander.
He received his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Currie is board certified in general radiology and completed a fellowship devoted to musculoskeletal MRI, CT and ultrasound at UW-Madison. He has a special interest in imaging of bones, joints, and spine.
Prior to joining MMG, Dr. Currie was chief resident for the University of Wisconsin Radiology Department for two years. He also spent one year as a medical school instructor at UW.
Dr. Currie believes working in a team environment can help patients reach their goals. “As a radiologist, I envision myself as part of a team that includes doctors, technologists, nurses, physician assistants and many other hospital staff who share the goal of providing the best patient care possible,” said Dr. Currie. “Through the diagnostic capabilities of CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and radiography, radiologists are able to improve the quality of care for our patients, as part of this team approach.”
Dr. Currie joins a staff of radiologists at Saint Mary’s including Dr. Steven Brown, Dr. Sue Hausserman-Dugan, Dr. Theodore Shinners, Dr. Anthony Rutkowski and Dr. Dawn Baker.
