Rodger A. Fish, 69, of Rhinelander, died on May 20, 2012, in Rhinelander. He was born in Rhinelander on May 5, 1943, to Walter and Gertrude (Delano) Fish.

Rodger attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1961. He then honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1981. He returned to Rhinelander at that time and was employed as vice president of operations for Peterson Health Care for a little over 10 years.

His years in service took Rodger all over the world, and led him to meet Yvonne Horton. They were married on July 2, 1966, in Gibraltar. In his spare time, Rodger loved all the hunting and fishing opportunities the northwoods offered.

Rodger is survived by his wife, Yvonne of Rhinelander; his two daughters, Michele (Bruce) Eades of Rhinelander and Melanie (Fritz) Mochel of Virginia Beach, Va.; his son, Michael Fish of Neshkoro; his four grandchildren, Tia Fish, Jacob Eades, and Katherine and Emily Mochel; his two sisters, Evelyn White of Rhinelander and Elaine Doman of Antigo; his three brothers, LeRoy (Leanna) Fish of Flower Mound, Texas, Russell (Jean) Fish, and Gary (Sherry) Fish both of Rhinelander; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra.

Private family services have been held.
