Rosemary E. Boxrucker, 77, of Rhinelander, died May 17, 2012, in Wausau. She was born on March 2, 1935, in the Town of Halsey, (Marathon County) to Edward and Ruth (Jacobitz) Giese.

She married Daniel Boxrucker on July 14, 1956 in Athens. Dan was a military man, and the two of them lived in many places throughout the entire world. Upon his retirement they settled in Rhinelander in 1972, and have lived here since. Rosemary was a longtime and active member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She was also one of the first hospice volunteers here in Rhinelander. She was always helping others and volunteering for “things” that had to be done, often times without anyone knowing about it. If Rosemary was doing it, it was done and done right! In her sparetime she enjoyed birdwatching and gardening.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Daniel; her daughter, Robin (Gerald) Boynton; and her son, Jay (Lori) Boxrucker, both of Rhinelander; her grandchildren, Austin Boynton and Amber (Nick) Belleba; her four sisters, Shirley Gluch of Rhinelander, Joan (Harvey) Kufahl and Jacqueline Bergman, both of Tomahawk, and Nancy Streich of Merrill; her two brothers, Thomas (Helen) Giese of Athens and Edward (Margie) Giese of Sussex; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded by her parents; a sister, June Giese; and two brothers, Robert and James Giese.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, at 11 a.m., at the Carlson Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 3to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, and just prior to the services on Monday, all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
