Ronald O. Foust, 72, of Rhinelander, lost his life to cancer on May 17, 2012. He was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Tiffany Township in Dunn County, to Joseph and Margaret (Ralph) Foust.

He married Mary Knapp on Sept. 9, 1960. She preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 2005. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1956 until honorably discharged in 1960.

Ronald is survived by his children, Cindy (Harley) Skinner, of Rhinelander, Rick (Mitzi) Foust, of Augusta, Ga. and Holly Rose (Scott) Peitsch of Rhinelander; his grandchildren, Erin Skinner (Joe Andersen), Mark (Kristyn) Skinner, Laura Foust, Ricky Foust (Lisa Hillman), Shandi and Skylar Peitsch; his great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Skinner, Ravyn Kuester, Schye, Nick and Logan Skinner, Victoria and Matthew Foust; and great-great granchild Katrina Kuester. Ronald is also survived by brothers, Bernie Foust of Memomonie and Jim (Sue) Foust of Combined Locks; his sister, Mary (George) Drew of Green Mountain Falls, Colo.; and many neices, nephews and special friend Jean Dyer. In addtion to his wife, Ron was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers Floyd, Jack, and Larry; and sisters Elsie Dahlvig and Jan Hageny.

Ron’s family and friends were the most important part of his life. He never missed a family gathering. He loved going to the casinos especially his Wendover Jaunts. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing a good game of cards, watching the Brewers and Packers, and most of all, watching his grandkids. A good cup of coffee and good conversation would always be waiting for any visitors.

Visitation for Ron will be on Tuesday, May 22, from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 11 a.m., at the Carlson Funeral Home.
