D?j? Vu Style Show coming back this summer
An event missing from the Rhinelander summer calendar last year was the Dejà Vu Style Show and Luncheon. The good news is that it’s back on the calendar for Monday, Aug. 20. After benefitting the Northwood Music Association since the show began in 2006, this year’s proceeds will go to the Rhinelander District Library Foundation, a fund raising arm of the library.
In addition to clothing styles often from another era, delicious food, and comic relief (Remember Mel Davidson dressed as a toddler pulled in a wagon by Dalette Willcox, or Bob Thoms in his fly fishing outfit including “must have” items in his fishing creel?), this event features a boutique of locally crafted items for sale and several unique raffles.
Dejà Vu VI will be held at the newly remodeled Northwoods Banquet Center on Pueblo Drive in Rhinelander. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon, with the style show taking place while guests are eating.
This year’s event, UnFURgettable Frills and FURbelows, will feature fur fashions that were once owned and worn by community members and will be modeled by your friends and neighbors.
Not only will a $35 ticket provide lunch and a lot of fun, it’s a great way to support the Rhinelander District Library. Tickets will go on sale in June and can be purchased from Linda at (715) 369-1136, Karen at (715) 369-2110 or Gale at (715) 362-6211.
Remember to save Aug. 20 for this enjoyable community event!
