Careers on Wheels was held at Central School on May 8. A total of 300 4th and 5th grade students from Central and Northwoods Charter elementary schools participated in the event and visited 18 different vehicles. Students got a chance to explore each vehicle and talk with the career professionals about their jobs and how they use their vehicle. This fun, hands-on event is just one way students can learn about great careers here in the Northwoods.
Rhinelander Partners in Education would like to thank the following businesses for participating: Aspirus, Carlson Funeral Service, City of Rhinelander, Coca-Cola Company, Forth Floral, Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home, Martin Sauer Logging, Northern Waste, Nortrax, Ponsse, Oneida County Fire and Rescue, Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, Veolia Environmental Services, Pelican Fire Department, Rhinelander GM & Toyota, Rhinelander Police Department and Wisconsin Public Service.
