Dan was honored at the ceremony and thanked for his many years of service to Oneida County.
The Mel Davidson Leadership Award was established in 2011. The inaugural award was presented to Mel Davidson for his many years of service to Oneida County and to the Rhinelander community.
Mel’s leadership has been in both thought and action. He too was a founding member of the Leadership Oneida County program, and has served in various volunteer and leadership roles in the community. He serves as a role model to all Leadership candidates and graduates, proving that the actions of one can have a positive impact on many.
The Mel Davidson Leadership Award is presented annually at the Leadership Oneida County graduation ceremony. Nominations are sought by the Leadership Program in March and April, and the Leadership Steering Committee selects the recipient.
Nominees must show an extensive commitment to their community and exemplify a leadership role, as Mr. Davidson has done and continues to do today.
