Jean M. Ganser, 64, of Pelican Lake, passed away on May 9, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. She was born on Nov. 9, 1947, in Mondovi, to John and Marcella (Larson) Potts.

Jean graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1965. She married Richard Ganser on Nov. 2, 1968, in Eau Claire. Together, they resided in Janesville and then moved to Campbellsport in 1972 where they raised their family. In 2001, she and Richard moved to Pelican Lake. Jean was employed for many years at The Threshold in West Bend and then at Foster and Smith in Rhinelander. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, bowling, fishing, camping, and travel.

Jean is survived by her husband, Richard Ganser of Pelican Lake; her two children, Jennifer (Jerry) Rauch of Plymouth and Phillip (Jennifer Kramer) Ganser of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Hailey, and Hannah; a sister, Mary Klapper of Pennsylvania; four brothers, Mike Potts of Augusta, Tom (Penny) Potts of Edgerton, John Potts of Poynette and Bob (Trudy) Potts of Augusta; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents and a sister, Susan Furseth.

Funeral services for Jean will be held on Monday, May 14, at noon, at the Carlson Funeral Home.
