III. Citizens/Delegations – This is an opportunity for citizens/delegations to speak to the Board of Education – 2-minute limit
IV. Action and/or Discussion Topics
A. Consider Approval for Student Out-of-State Travel and Solicitation of Funds – Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Conference in San Antonio, TX
B. Consider Approval for Student Out-of-State Travel and Solicitation of Funds – Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Club National Conference in Orlando, FL
V. Enter Closed Session
Enter closed session pursuant to
a. Wis. Stats. Section 119.25 and 120.13 (1)(c) to consider the expulsion of a Rhinelander High School student.
b. 19.85 1(c), (e), and (f) to consider the employment, promotion, compensation, or performance-evaluation data of any employee, including, but not limited to administrative staff, support staff members, certified staff members, volunteers, drivers, and/or mentors for the district. And, to consider the financial, medical, social or personal histories, or disciplinary data and/or preliminary consideration of specific persons, or the investigation of charges against specific persons which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations. More specifically, to consider the hire of professional staff, resignation(s) of professional staff, professional staff non-renewal(s), professional staff layoff(s), administrative contract(s), and coach or volunteer hires, as necessary.
c. 19.85 1(g) to confer with legal counsel, if necessary, with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved
VI. Return to Open Session to Take Possible Action on the Topic(s) Considered in Closed Session
VII. Adjourn
This meeting of the Board of Education is held for the purpose of conducting the school district’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for citizens/delegations participation during the meeting, as indicated on the agenda.
Accommodations for disabled persons will be made upon request to the Superintendent of Schools.
The Notice/Posting of this meeting was emailed to all school district staff and hand-delivered or sent via U.S. Mail to the Board of Education and Media sources. It is also posted on the School District of Rhinelander website at www.rhinelander.k12.wi.us/board/boardagendas.cfm
