Updated Thurs., 4/26 – The public is invited to attend the Northwoods Community Elementary School (NCES) open house and free community dinner tonight from 4 to 6 p.m. NCES is located at 9086 Cty. K in Harshaw (about 15 minutes west of Hwy 47).

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the school’s learning facilities, hear about what the students are learning and browse many environmentally-friendly creations for sale offered by the school’s 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

NCES is dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment where students achieve their maximum potential, and acquire the skills to become productive members of society and life-long learners.

The district will be offering a free shuttle service to NCES from Northwoods Community Secondary School (the old South Park School on Pelham). Shuttles will begin at 4 p.m. The last shuttle will leave NCES at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

For more information, call the School District of Rhinelander’s Community Education Program at (715) 365-9745.
