A different view on Walker by Craig Strid
Editor:
I’m writing this letter to direct your attention to a two part article that was written in “Politics” publication. The articles were written by John Dean. John Dean was council to the president from July 1970 to April 1973. Before becoming the White House Council at age 31, he was the chief minority council to the Judiciary commitee of the U.S. House of representatives, an associate director of a law reform commision and an associate deputy attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice.
John Dean also authored a book called “Conservatives Without a Conscience”
The first article which you can locate by a Google search is titled “A fair question: Is Governor Walker a conservative without a conscience?” and the follow up article is titled ” Good luck, Wisconsin, you’ve just got a classic Authoritarian Governor.”
I invite you to read these articles firsthand, for they stimulate thought and expose history that has not been evident previously. Food for thought.
Craig Strid, Rhinelander
