Patricia L. ?Pat?C? Peters

Patricia L. “Pat’C” Peters, 76 of Lake Tomahawk, died on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. Pat’C was born on June 23, 1935, in Strandquist, Minn. the daughter of Ewald and Ruby Barstad.

Pat’C along with husband, Frank, their four children: Ed, Joe, David and Rhonda, plus their St. Bernard, Rex; moved to the Northwoods from Wind Lake in 1979.
They ended up purchasing the Lone Pine Landing on the Rainbow Flowage. A property that had a two-unit motel, 25-unit mobile home park, a campground and a bar that seated more than 50. Pat’ C. had been on the Oneida County Board of Supervisors for six years. Town of New bold Board Supervisor. She has served on the Oneida County Commission on Aging for about five years and has served on the Oneida County Zoning Committee. She also served as President for the Lakeland area Tavern League. She enjoyed singing Karaoke at Legends, the Pub and Prime and Angry Dave’s in St. Germain.

She is survived by her husband, Frank of Lake Tomahawk, and children Steve Schmidt and Michael Schmidt both of Milwaukee, WI; Ed (Linda) Choinski of Lake Tomahawk; Joe Choinski of Eden Prairie, Minn. and David (Debbie) Peters of West Allis, and by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her brother, Dwayne Barstad of Milwaukee, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Renay and Rhonda, and two brothers and two sisters, and her grandson, Steven.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, at Bolger Funeral Home-Woodruff Chapel from 3:30 to 6 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Lake Tomahawk American Legion Post 318, or to the Lake Tomahawk Lions Club.
