Affordable Care Act forum to be held Feb. 23.
The Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americans and Know Your Care Wisconsin, a non-profit health care education group, will hold an informational forum on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at the Oneida County Department on Aging, 1103 Thayer St. in Rhinelander.
The forum will highlight the many preventive care benefits now available free of charge to Medicare enrollees under the Affordable Care Act.
In Oneida County, 9,458 people are Medicare enrollees. This equals just over 26 percent of the population, or about one out of every four people. A 26-page guide to Medicare’s preventive services will be distributed to each person attending the forum. The event is open to the public.
