Cletus Matt

Cletus Matt, 70, of Rhinelander, died on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at her home. She was born on Sept. 1, 1941, in Bass, Ala., to William and Princess Parson.

Cletus was raised in the Winchester, Tennessee area and moved to Chicago in the mid 1950s. She married Duane Matt in 1960 and was a homemaker and mother to her three children. She moved to Rhinelander in 2009. Her primary interest was reading.

Cletus is survived by her three children, Pamela Matt of Rhinelander, Phillip Matt of Seattle, Wash., and Elizabeth (Jason) Newton of Plainfield, Ill.; five grandchildren, Joey, Brandy, Annelise, Mike, and Zachary; and five sisters, Lucille, Sybil, Wanda, Patsy, and Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane in 1974; and two brothers, Bayne and Jay.

Inurnment will take place in the Jonesboro City Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ill.
