The Rhinelander High School Dance Team took first place in Division 2 Hip Hop competing against 12 other teams at the Western Regional Championships hosted by Eau Claire North High School on Saturday, Jan. 28. The team will advance to State next Saturday, Feb. 4, and will compete against the Western, Eastern, and Central Division qualifiers.

They will travel to Minneapolis at the end of February to compete at Nationals, where they have taken first place in their Hip Hop division two years in a row.

The team would like to extend special thanks to Kalyee Hess for helping with their choreography, and also to Bernie Stoehr and Kari Massey for their help in driving the team to their competitions. Additional thanks to the school administration, parents and community for their continued support.
