Tax breaks on backs of public workers By Greg Pence

Isn’t it just wonderful that Oneida County was able to save the taxpayers $1 million because of Walker’s budget? But who did they get that money from? They got it from the taxpaying public workers that come in all hours of the day and night to plow and serve the other taxpayers of this country.

I am a city employee, and have been for 351/2 years. With my wages and my wife’s, we qualify for Energy Assistance. And a lot of you out there think we’re nothing but a bunch of cry baby overpaid public workers who don’t want to pay their fair share. Not true. We will fight to get our rights back.

Now we go back to the old days, before unions stepped in and helped the workers of this country to get a fair shake on the job. Remember unions are only as strong as the men and women that are in them. The editor of a different local media likes to keep stirring things up with his articles, and I hope he keeps it up, because that will just keep us fighting to get our rights back and get rid of these people that took them away.

Walker’s budget isn’t working. He’s just taking more money away from the middle class and the poor taxpayers. He says he’s going to focus on jobs. I hope he finds a good one, and not in my state.
