Obituaries for 11/6

Donald Jensen, 71, of Zeeland, Mich., died Oct. 24, 2011, at Zeeland Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Kristin; his children, Mike (Sherri) of Gretna, Neb., Tom (Jeanne) of Rhinelander, John of Fond du Lac and Jim (Heather) of Coopersville, Mich. He was preceded by his wife, Joan, in 1995. A memorial service was held Oct. 29 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Saugatuck, Mich.

Eileen A. Nehring, 68, of Rhinelander, died Oct. 23, 2011, at Alice Haus. She was born July 7, 1943, in Beaver Dam to Orval and Vivian (Simon) Hoffman. She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Tonya) and Kevin; and her sister, Lois Lettini. She was preceded by her parents; and her husband, Charles in 1982. For many years Eileen worked at the Rhinelander K-Mart. Per Eileen’s request there will be no formal services.

Olive E. Ross, 95, of Rhinelander, died on November 1, 2011, at her home, in Rhinelander. She was born March 24, 1916, in Rhinelander, to Osborne and Esther Anderson. She is survived by her five daughters, Nancy Squires, Ethel Craig, Olive (Brian) Smith, Victoria (Howard Gene) Kalkofen and Donna (Thomas) Zimmerman and her son John (Bernice) Ross, all of Rhinelander; her sister, Catherine Maass of Rhinelander; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded by three sisters, Ann Ross, Margaret Gates and Leona Goddard; and her grandson. Olive worked for numerous years as a clerk for the Montgomery Wards store in Rhinelander. She also served as a bookkeeper for the different businesses of her husband throughout the years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
