Obituaries for 9-18

Thomas L. Eatherly, 73 of Rhinelander, died Sept. 10, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Waukegan, Ill. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Jeff Kramer) Larson of Waukegan, Ill.; his son, Greg (Greta) Eatherly of Rhinelander; and two grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, Patricia. Thomas retired from Abbott Laboratories after 37 years. He was president of The “tiny” Social Club for 30 years in North Chicago, Ill. Visitation was held Sept. 13 at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home and Sept. 15 and 16 at Salata-Gurnee Funeral Home in Gurnee. Interment was in Warren Cemetery in Gurnee.

Jerry Forsberg, 69, of Tomahawk, died Sept. 12, 2011, at his home. He was born July 17, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., to John and Anna Forsberg. He is survived by his son, Jerry of Madison; and his daughter, Torrie Forsberg of Brussells. He was preceded by his wife, Lila Mae, three brothers; and one sister. Jerry served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969. He was employed by Twist Drill for a number of years, and then worked for Nelson’s County Market from 1980 to 2005. He also owned Forsberg’s Record Party. Funeral services were held Sept. 15 at Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Burial followed in Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw.

Lorraine Heredith, 91, of McNaughton, died Sept. 11, 2011. She was born Oct. 20, 1919, in McNaughton, to Paul and Catherine Fredrich. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Rogers of DePere, Judy (Jack) Campbell of Hartland; and three grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Scott; and her siblings, Harry, Ellen, Al, Paul, Herb, Florence, Alice, Ray, Ruth, and Tom. A graveside service was held Sept. 14 at the Newbold Cemetery.

Deborah A. Turgeon, 59, died Sept. 13, 2011, at Taylor Park Nursing Home. She was born July 14, 1952, in Antigo, to Albert and June Warren. She is survived by her children, Jacob, Katie (Jesse) Achterberg and Elizabeth, all of Rhinelander; and two grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents. Deb was a LPN for most of her career. A celebration of Deb’s life will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, from noon to 5 p.m., at Pine Lake Town Hall.

Jack Unmuth, 66, of Rhinelander, died Sept. 9, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born March 14, 1945, in Stambaugh, Mich., to Jack and Gladys (Strom) Unmuth. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Sharon (James) DeVries of Plymouth; his mother; four grandchildren; one step grandchild; his sister, Diane (James) Hyer; a brother, Blaise (Becky) of Marquette, Mich.; his step sons, James (Kris) Taulbut, Jason Taulbut and Mark Taulbut, all of West Bend and Matthew Taulbut of Rhinelander. He was preceded by his father; and his son, Jeffrey. Jack served in the U.S. Army Airborne, and then was employed by the American Can/Silgan Corporation for more than 40 years. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., at St. Mark Lutheran Church.
